| Amanda Rogers

Amanda began dancing at three years old and has had a lifelong interest in the
amazing home that we call our bodies. As a dancer, she focused on the movement
of the body through space, but she also was fascinated with the inner structures
of the body, and with pursuing a holistic lifestyle. This led her to studies at
Life University in Marietta, Georgia. There, in 1996, she was introduced to yoga
and began taking classes.
She is a student of Hatha and Iyengar yoga and has followed
the teachings of Patricia Walden. She began teaching yoga while at Life
University, and taught from 1996, to 2000. In 2000, she moved to Kentucky where
she and a friend opened “New Steps Studio”. She taught dance and yoga classes
there until 2004, when she moved to Lakeland. Since then, she has been teaching
a variety of classes at Gold’s Gym including yoga, spin, pilates body combat,
and power pump. Amanda feels that her practice of yoga is a natural extension
of her love of dance and of the holistic lifestyle she wants to live.
