David has been studying Yoga for approximately 5 years, following a
background in martial arts. He started his journey with Iyengar
Yoga where he learned strict attention to body alignment.
Approximately 3 years ago, while on a business trip, he decided to
attend a class for Ashtanga Yoga at the Ashtanga Yoga Center of DC
(where he studied for the next several weeks under 2 of only a
handful of "certified" Ashtanga teachers). He was immediately
hooked by the Vinyasa system of Ashtanga Yoga (linking breath
with movement).
David is currently enrolled in a Yoga Alliance certified teacher
program (RYT) in Tampa, where he is working toward his 200 hour
certification. His goal is to one day travel to Mysore, India to
study under the creator of Ashtanga Yoga, Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. In
his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and sharing
the joy of yoga with his daughters.
